Re:Read Re:Wear

The jumper your child grew out of last term is exactly what another family is about to buy new. Pass it on instead — uniform and books, free to a good home.

Nothing here is for sale. If you take something and would like to give back, The Marlborough Difference would welcome a donation.

An estimate, based on typical replacement costs of £12 a uniform item and £6 a book.

How it works

  1. 1

List what you have finished with

Snap a photo of the jumper or the book, add the size or the author, and put it on the board. It takes a minute.

  2. 2

    Another parent asks for it

You get the request and decide. Only once you say yes do the two of you swap contact details — nothing is public.

  3. 3

Give the item, to the parent, or the House Dame.

Arrange a time that suits you both. Mark it collected, and that is that. No money changes hands.

Have a bag of uniform in the hall cupboard?

That is where most of this starts. It costs you nothing to pass it on, and it saves another family a trip to the uniform shop.
